北陸新幹線開通まであと1年。それまではちょっと大変です。
長野駅から飯山線に乗って1時間弱。飯山駅からバスもありますが、本数が少ないので、駅まで迎えに上がります。飯山駅から斑尾までは車で20分くらいです。
Public Transport-
From Tokyo:
Departing from Tokyo Station to Nagano, passengers board the Nagano Bullet Train (Asama Shinkansen) frequent departures throughout the day. Adult cost with reserved seat: 7,770 yen one way. Travelling time 1.30hrs.Then follow information “From Nagano”.
From Nagoya:
Catch the Chuo limited express (Shinano) departs from Nagoya Station and travels to Nagano via Matsumoto. Adult cost with reserved seat: 6,930 yen one way. Travelling time 3.30hrs. Then follow information “From Nagano”.
From Osaka/Kyoto:
Departing Osaka or Kyoto catch the Sanyo Shinkansen to Nagoya and transfer to the Chuo limited express (Shinano) departs from Nagoya Station
and travels Nagano. Adult cost with reserved seat: 10,530~11,370 yen. Travelling time 4.30hrs. Then follow information “From Nagano”.
Budget travel by Bus:
For a safe, comfortable, inexpensive (yet slow) travel from all major cities in Japan, we recommend the Willer Express bus to Nagano. Buses from Tokyo are 2100~2500 yen one way and takes 3.5 hours to Nagano. This is 1/3rd the cost of the bullet train. Then follow information “From Nagano”. (Willer link below).
From Nagano:
1.Direct Bus to Madarao During winter months, there are a few direct buses
to Madarao from Nagano Station throughout the day. Buses depart from the
East (Higashi) exit of Nagano Station from bus stop 3 or 4. The bus costs
per person 1400yen one way. The nearest stop to Crawfish Madarao is Yama-no-ie.
From there you can walk 500m down hill to our lodge or give us a call and
we’ll pick you up!

2.Local Train and Bus to Madarao From Nagano Station there regular train
departures every 20-30 minutes throughout the day to Iiyama Station with
the last train departing 10:47pm from Nagano Station. From Iiyama Station
it is 30mins by bus or taxi to Madarao Ko-gen. “Crawfish Madarao Lodge”
is searchable on Google Maps. The local bus will also stop at Yama-no-ie
and you can walk 500m down the hill to Crawfish Madarao Lodge or relax
at the visitor center (Yama-no-ie) and we’ll pick you up. Travelling time
1.20hrs
By Car:
*In Winter, be sure to change to snow tires or bring chains.
From Tokyo There are two ways to get to Madarao by car: 1) Take the Chuo Expressway to the Osaka J.C.T and head towards and past Nagano on the Nagano Expressway. Exit at the Toyota-iiyama Interchange and follow Rte 117 to Madarao kogen. Or 2) Take the Kanetsu Expressway towards Nagano, change to Joshinetsu (for Nagano) and continue past Nagano. Exit at Toyota-Iiyama Interchange and follow Rte 117 to Madarao Kogen. 4hrs
From Nagoya Take the Chuo Expressway to the Okaya JCT and head towards
and past Nagano on the Nagano Expressway. Exit at the Toyota-iiyama Interchange
and follow Rte 117 to Madarao kogen. 4hrs
From Osaka or Kyoto Take the Meishin Expressway to the Komki J.C.T,head up Chuo Expressway to the Okaya J.C.T and head towards and past Nagano on the Nagano Expressway. Exit at the Toyota-iiyama Interchange and follow Rte 117 to Madarao kogen. 5.30hr
